Father Pilarz was a pillar of leadership, love, and passion at the U¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. I was blessed enough to learn from his example at a pivot point in my own life. While I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, as I’m sure the rest of the u¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ alumni community is, I take solace in knowing his long fought struggle with ALS is at an end. I know he is resting now, and forever at peace. I am, and will always be, grateful for him and the light he shone on the entire university community. I will hold dear his parting words to my graduating class for all the days of my life. 💜💜
"There are no friendships like ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ friendships, because ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ friendships don’t stop. That’s the surest sign of God’s grace active among us. Take that special ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ grace out into the world and, as St. Ignatius urges, “…set the world on fire.” Do that and your ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ education, your ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ friendships, and, yes, your ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ parties, will not stop. God bless the class of 2007, God bless Catholic and Jesuit education, and God bless The U¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.""
